Whilst we still have a long list of development plans for the new BMW R1300GS, we can now tick another accessory off the list as we have just finished and launched the new Pyramid Engine Cover!
This Engine Cover from Pyramid has been specifically designed to protect the front of engine casing for the BMW R1300 GS. Road debris and salt will heavily corrode this area of the motorcycle over time. Our product will maintain its condition during the lifetime of the vehicle.
The Engine Cover is manufactured out of aluminium and is powder coated in a textured matte black finish. We will also be offering a silver powder coated option soon, keep an eye out for that!
No additional fittings are required to fit the Pyramid Engine Cover, simply remove the front pair of bolts from the 'underride protection plate'. This should allow adequate room to remove the 2 OEM bolts in the lower centre of the casing.
The two OEM bolts can then be used to secure the Engine Cover to the motorcycle. The Engine Cover also comes supplied with some foam strips, to be placed on the back of the Engine Cover to act as a cushion between the Cover and Engine Casing itself.
